Customer rating is 4 of 5  Not just for radiologists   2008-06-23
By Dr. Mr. Purdy (Johannesburg, South Africa)
As a urologist in training, I was pleased to come across this text. As a surgeon, interpreting scans for yourself should be a habit and the radiologists report reviewed thereafter - the surgeon takes ultimate responsibility for the operation he/she performs, and usually the one writing the report for you is not an expert like these authors! This is a great introduction to uroradiology and allows one to approach one's own interpretation of scans of the urogenital tract more systematically. It is packed with good quality images covering all the common stuff with text fillers of clinical details providing a nice summary of the most important points but certainly not comprehensive from a specialist clinical urologist's point of view.
Customer rating is 4 of 5  Fairly well known book but ...   2008-06-18

This is a fairly well known book in uroradiology considering it is now in its 4th edition. Considering the listed price, one would expect a book made of good paper quality and standard font size. Although the papers are glossy, it is quite thin. There is downsize of the print font from the previous edition. This could be a major eye strain for those who like a font of 12 in Times New Roman. This edition seems to use font 9 or 10 therefore increasing the word density on each page. I wonder why educated LWW editors are cheap in this regard. However, the size of the images are generally not compromised.
